We love this game—and we noticed a gap in the hockey community. There’s no consistent, inclusive space where youth hockey families, coaches, and players can engage in meaningful conversations about the sport at their level. 2 Many Men on the Mic is our way of amplifying all voices in the youth hockey community—especially those at the B & C levels and newcomers to the game. We’re not here to lecture; we’re here to share experiences, learn together, and have fun while doing it. Additionally, we want to spotlight the positive aspects—not just the viral “crazy hockey parent” moments that often dominate social media. Our goal with this hockey podcast is to grow the game by keeping it relatable, supportive, and real.

Jared Balint is the co-host of 2 Many Men on the Mic, a weekly hockey podcast dedicated to the youth hockey community. As a longtime player, coach, and board member—and a passionate hockey dad—Jared brings firsthand experience and a real-world perspective to each episode. He aims to leverage his journey, along with the lessons learned from his mistakes, to support players, parents, and coaches as they navigate their own paths in the youth hockey world. When he's not behind the mic, Jared can be found coaching or playing at the rink, leading community programs, or strumming a little guitar off the ice.

In November of 2024, a talented young hockey player was taken from his family, his teammates, and the St Louis hockey community. Colin Brown was not only an amazing youth hockey player but also an even more inspiring young man. To honor his memory, his family has established a Facebook community called 72 Acts of Kindness.
